Hi
ive noticed that my left hand is utterly hopeless for positioning the
harp over my mouth...
if i play the harp only holding in in my right hand, then its fine. if
i hold it in the left hand only - total disaster!
i cant even play the most simple melody.

this happens to you guys aswell?

I don't know about all that, but I can tell you this: I'm right-handed, and
whenever I'm looking for some strange, I switch over to my left hand for a
while.

Your mileage may vary.

It was a double entendre intended as a joke. "Strange" is a new sexual
partner.

I'm right handed and I hold th eharp with my left hand. It feels odd to me
to hold it any other way.
I clamp it between forefinger and thumb on my left hand, and cup with my
right hand.

Are you right or left handed?

i am right handed and hold the harp- and my mic- in my right hand. it
works for me. i cup with my left. same if i'm not using a mic, just
doing acoustic. it just always felt natural that way. but sometimes
i do switch for a minute and hold with my left.

whatever works for YOU.

Right handed here, hold harp and mic with left hand, cup with right.
It looks as though from the others replying that it's what works best
for you. So, in other words...do what works best. :-) Happy harp'n!

On Friday, it's mic in left / harp in right.
On Saturday, I switch.

About the only improv I know...
