We are selling our house in Kansas City and moving to the Ozarks. We've
been planning to do this for quite a while, but now we have a contract
on the house and the buyers want to take possession in two weeks! This
has come as somewhat of a surprise. I happen to have a complete Fat Dog
Model 4A amp that I would rather not take with me. I will sell it for
$500, just so I'll have less stuff to move.

If you haven't heard the sound samples on my website, you can check them
out at http://www.fatdogamps.com/

This amp has enough power and volume to play any normal blues club gig.
It is equipped with a mix of Jensen and Fender speakers. Some better
quality speakers would give it more volume because the Fenders are kind
of wimpy even though they have excellent tone.

If you're interested, send me an email.

I don't know where that is. I hate to be the guy to tell ya, but you
won't find near as much of a "blues scene" in Springfield as there is
in KC, as far as harp players, etc. There is a small blues scene, but
I'm sure it's nothing like KC. As far as Branson, it's pretty much
non-existant. We're working on building one, but not much happenin
yet.

The blues scene here in KC is really great. Too bad I'm so sick of city
life. I've been getting mixed reviews on the Springfield blues scene.
The guys in one of the top bands here (placed in the top 10 at Memphis
blues challenge) told me that it's pretty decent in Springfield. Others
have also said that. But some people say it sucks.

I guess I'll find out when I get there, because the major objective is
to get back to rural life. If I can play in a band sometimes, that's a
bonus. I just have to get away from civilization before it drives me
crazy. I'll miss having the opportunity to go to multiple jam sessions
seven days a week, but I'll adjust.

Yep...I hear ya...
I couldn't do the city thing myself at all...
You may be able to sit in on some dates with my band if you'd be
interested...

We basically play around Branson, but it's a easy 30 min. drive down
65.

Thanks, that would be very cool. I'll have to look you guys up when I
get there. As far as I can tell, Branson appears to be about 98%
country & western, and about 100% corny. I've been there a couple of
times for different reasons, and I never got the impression that there
was any decent blues there to speak of. But I suppose there has to be
something interesting for the locals to do besides trying to avoid
traffic jams. I'm sure I'll have fun learning where the all good stuff is.
