Hi, Anyone out there?!!Years ago I remember buying a diatonic with the
"Martin" name on a black plastic case the harp was in. I can't find it,
can't remember playing it very often. Anyone have that harp, know who
produced it and what you thought about it's sound?. Not sure if I want
to turn the house upside down looking for it. Thanks. Allen

harpman i think if i remember right that harmonica was made by honher
for the Martin Guitar company. And didn't stay in production for very
long.

I kept thinking about buying one but never did.
I'd say it would be worth looking up and putting it up
for a collector item.

Just went to a wooden box where I kept all my empty harp cases, and
there it was!!The Martin diatonic in the key of D. Looks like a wood
body. I tried it and had no complaints. Will keep it for an emergency
during a gig. Allen

i have a big wooden tool chest with lots of draws in it that i keep
all my harmonicas in. It also house's junk harps for parts
and all kinds of tools to work on the harps.

glad you found your harmonica.
And speaking of the Key of D for some reason the D keyed harmonicas
seem to last longer them any other key for me. No matter what
brand it is. I have no ideal why but they do last longer for me.

Spider, The D's last very long if not forever for me, because the
guitarist I perform with and previous musicians hardly play a song in
the key of A.Allen

well yea they would last a long time if you don't play them.
but I'm talking about every day uses. Just guessing but
I'd say it has something to do with the length of the reeds
why they last so good.
